Purchase without storage?

ahoy all,

first thanks to Purism for their dedication to free/libre/open software and hardware!

is it possible to purchase a Librem device (in this case a laptop) without storage? i already have a fairly new drive to use but currently the shop e.g. https://shop.puri.sm/shop/librem-13/ disables the add to cart option unless a storage option is selected.

is there a reason for this, other than having something upon which to install PureOS?

finally, can this be bypassed somehow?

Bump, I’d like to know this too.

I found an old thread which said they no longer sell them like that. One issue is people were then looking for a bracket for the SSD which only comes with the SSD.
