Pureos Kernel Questions

Im aware that Purism doesnt like Non-Free. my Question is:

  1. Do PureOS use Libre-Kernel? because it doesnt have Propriatary
  2. Do PureOS also remove non-free code on kernel if it use the mainline?

I think the source code for the kernel used is supposed to be in this repo: Librem5 / linux · GitLab (note that there are different branches there, probably the “byzantium” and “crimson” branches are the most interesting ones.
