According to the Debian wiki, BCM4322 is supported in the Linux kernel but requires non-free firmware being installed to run. Purism’s PureOS actively avoids bundling “mystery software”. Assuming that you are interested in PureOS for its advantages over other distributions, you probably want to run none of such. So, you could try a different adapter hoping that the laptop’s motherboard works with it. It may be worth noting that Purism found that running a networking card over SDIO or USB interfaces may better restrict the potentially insecure code contained in the card itself. Unfortunately, Pursim doesn’t sell neither a half-sized MiniPCIe wireless adapter, nor a USB adapter. You could try one of those reported on h-node or certified under the RYF as running with only free software.

Thank you, Riabenko…i ran this old laptop with LinuxMint, Ubuntu, but when i am trying out PureOS i fall in love with it smooth and fast, surprisingly there are way too much stuff in there over my head, but gonna be challenge to learn for me so it s good thing…meanwhile I am using Apple AirportExpress2 LAN as wifi dongle for now so 100mbps is what it is, but if i could make wifi working i can have 500mbps. Will try those links out…Appreciate…!
