Purism Librem 13 v2 and Librem Key

I bought my Librem 13 v2 in 2017, more recently I picked up a Librem key. I’m not a dunce when it comes to computers but I am very unclear on how best to use the Librem key with my machine. I essentially want to use the Librem key for tamper detection but after reading through these forums and other guides have been unable to figure it out.

I have set up the Librem key with a GPG key copied over to it as per the guide.

I assume I am running an older version of Core boot, can I upgrade to Heads? when I have tried previously things did not go well so I resorted to a full re-installation.

Any advice and guidance will be much appreciated on how best I can secure my Librem 13 using the Librem key.

Thank you.

We have updated the script we use to download and apply coreboot updates so that you can also use it to perform the initial PureBoot flash. Check out the https://puri.sm/coreboot/ page for instructions on downloading and running the script.

Once you have run the script the main documentation for PureBoot is at https://docs.puri.sm/PureBoot/Heads/User_Manual.html and if you run into any problems you can reach out to me and others in our community Matrix room at #community-heads:talk.puri.sm
