Recommendations for SMS / Mobile Broadband Client? [laptop] [GUI]

Hello everyone,
I have recently purchased a USB 4G LTE-Advanced Modem from ThinkPenguin and am hoping to utilize it on my laptop.

Do any of you have any good recommendations for mobile broadband managers with a clean Graphical Interface? Preferably, one with support for contacts and text messages?

As a slight side note, can I use Purism’s communication tools such as Chatty to send text messages on my GNU/Linux laptop?

Caution … these devices often don’t support voice calls at all, and may or may not support SMS send and/or receive - and that can also depend on the plan that is associated with the SIM that you insert. So the starting point would be to clarify what exactly you need and verify what will work.
