I crimped the Wi-Fi connectors while trying to repair my laptop. I think I need to replace the entire antenna. How hard is this? I think the antenna goes behind the screen and through the hinge.
Does anyone know the part number for this antenna? I have a Librem 15v2.
Is this too hard of a repair to do on my own? Should I just give up? Should I try to convince Purism to try to fix it for me? I can’t really find any information online about repairing something like this.
As far as I know, it is impossible to take apart the Lid Assembly to get to the panel, antenna or webcam.
The only way to go would be a complete Lid Assy exchange (or purchase), but I know that Purism is willing to sell and ship them as parts (if still available from their stock); as I had to replace a dead one on a Librem 15. It may be worth asking Support - the repair itself is very easy (Lid Assy swap)
