I have two Librem 14 computers. The battery on both computers are failing, of course they are five years old. I have reached out to Purism multiple times via email, yet no response in 3 to 4 weeks time. Do we still have to send the computer to them or is there an alternative option. Thank you!
I think you can purchase the batteries from the Purism’s online Store: Librem 14 Battery – 3-cell – Purism . Before you order, make sure which one you want (3 or 4 cells.)
As a side note, expect outrageous “Dangerous Goods” additional fees if it needs to be shipped by air via DHL. You can order two or more batteries in the same shipment and have to pay the surcharge only once.
It depends of course also on whether you are in the US (or could feasibly be in the US) or not.
The current dangerous goods surcharge is $165 
Thank you all for responding, Purism got with me and provided the solution. I AM In the United States so there was a misconception involved, these are definitely affordable now i just need to decide 4 or 3 cells. Going to get a bit more familiar with why oi would need an additional ssd card alongside the battery. .

I went on store and bought librem 14 battery twice and installed it myself and it was fine. There’s a guide on purism website.
