I hope you are doing good. I recently moved over from apple to Linux so I apologise for the nooby question here!
Recently, when I attempted to open Software & Update the program does not launch and instead opens up the prompt attached. I performed an update so I think everything is ok, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong that is making it so I cannot access the app itself. The window is showing the below options…
PureOS Software, Other Software Updates, Authentication Developer Options, and in each tab there is an option to close or “revert.” Here is the screenshot to give you a visual of what I see when I try to open the app. Do you know what I am supposed to do here so I can access the program?
It seems the preferences in your screenshot are fine. Can’t say anything about not showed tabs though. What happens when you hit “close”? The whole program closes and next time it opens the same window again?
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, when I hit close the entire program closes and reopen the same window opens again. I just clicked on the authentication tab and there is an option to Restore Defaults. Do you think this would help to perform this task?
That is the windows you are supposed to get with “Software & Update”, looks all fine. I think what you want is the thing called “Software”. There should be three tabs in there, one for Updates where you can scan. Hope this helps
