[SOLD] Librem 5 Evergreen FOR SALE - used 3 months in the Netherlands

I’m selling my Librem 5 Evergreen which includes:

  • USB-C charger (EU) + UK adapter + USB-C cable
  • In-ear headphones (3.5mm jack)
  • SIM card tray eject tool
  • Librem 5 quick start guide

Received the Librem 5 on Oct. 17, 2022 (ordered Nov. 30, 2018).

Then updated it regularly and waited until it became usable for me as a daily driver.

Started using it as my only phone about three months ago (April 2025).

Why I want to sell it, and stopped using it, is because I am going away for a while and (unfortunately) need a spy phone with longer battery life for that.

I used this phone with provider Odido (previously T-Mobile) in the Netherlands.
Calling, texting and internet are trouble free. I never have to reboot the phone.

Hardly any signs of use.

Price: 275€

Shipping not included.
Payment in advance via bank transfer

Did you ever try the GPS? If so, could you get easily a fix?

Nope, never tried the GPS. What is the most easy way to try this?

I think this will work (unfortunately I could not fully test because I did this already earlier), be warned that from a security perspective this is not recommended (to add the default user to the geoclue group), but for quickly testing GPS it works.

This is what I do in a terminal:

sudo usermod -a -G geoclue purism
sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
sudo flatpak install flathub page.codeberg.tpikonen.satellite

Now change in the /var/lib/flatpak/exports/share/applications/page.codeberg.tpikonen.satellite.desktop file this line:

Exec=/usr/bin/flatpak run --branch=stable --arch=aarch64 --command=satellite page.codeberg.tpikonen.satellite

to:

Exec=/usr/bin/flatpak run --branch=stable --arch=aarch64 --command=satellite page.codeberg.tpikonen.satellite -s gnss-share

That is basically adding -s gnss-share to the end of the original line.

Restart your phone to make sure the purism user of your session is in the geoclue group.

Now you can start the Satellite app and see if it finds a fix. Usually you have to be outside with a clear sky and it will take the first time approximately 10 minutes to get a fix. Make sure your phone does not suspend when trying to get a GPS fix. I have one Librem 5 that does not get a fix, I guess because of some hardware issue. I also have one Librem 5 that works well and it gets a fix in less than a minute once it is well initialized.

Again, I’m not sure if this will work for you, but this is roughly what I do. I tested the above procedure on my Librem 5 with Crimson, and it did not work, but hopefully on Byzantium it works.
