I want to listen to the audio stream of this site: https://www.nporadio1.nl/ in Firefox on my Librem 5, but it does not work.
I guess that I have to install a certain package to make it work. But which one?

Did you enable streaming of DRM-content in Firefox options?

I hate DRM and there is no way I would enable this function. So I cannot test if it is enough to make it running.

did you accept/reject cookies?
At least it works on gnome web/epiphany after doing that.

I do not see the Enable DRM option in the Firefox settings on the L5. On my Fedora system I have them enabled and there the mentioned audio works. Could this be because of the old Firefox version on the L5?

After you said it I checked it by myself. It’s true that there is no option on L5. DRM can be played with a Google-Plugin. At least Mozilla wrote about it. Not sure if it’s possible to run that on ARM-Linux. The version of Firefox should not be an issue.
You may have to make a further internet research about that topic since I also don’t know more.

I have an SBC (Radxa Rock 5b) where the option for enabling DRM in Firefox wasn’t present until I installed some extra packages.
My guess from that is that Firefox won’t present the option unless it’s supported by other components of the OS or hardware. (Please correct me if wrong someone, this is just something I noticed recently)
Thanks for the hints. I still did not figure out exactly which packages are needed. I will investigate further when I have some more time.

Yes, I use Shortwave already, and I like it a lot. But the website gives many extra options, like going a few seconds back, seeing the guide and playing certain fragments of past broadcasts, basically all, or most of the functionality of the Android app, that I do not want to use anymore.
Btw, I also use Podcasts that I also highly recommend (the Purism flatpak store unfortunately did not update Podcasts to the latest version yet).
