Squeekboard release 1.15.0

Hi all,

after a looong break caused by chasing pretty pictures, Squeekboard got another release. There’s not a lot of new stuff visible, but it got better at being international, with last untranslated holdouts finally succumbing. On top of that, we have lots of new layouts, and a bunch of bug fixes.

Thanks to all the contributors!

Best,

A Christmas release
I’ll (pretend to) be disappointed if the shift key doesn’t turn into :christmas_tree: in a few days (depending on regional settings, of course…)

There’s another emoji that vaguely looks like a triangle. For outside holiday season

That would be a great easter egg

“What do you mean, ‘the f is missing in the shift key!’ ?”

Still no word on #93. :slightly_frowning_face: Hacker’s Keyboard is practically the only thing I miss about Android. I’m sort of tempted to implement the popover system myself, but I don’t know Rust and really don’t have the time to learn it.

Patches welcome. This is relatively high priority for Squeekboard, but Squeekboard is one of the pieces that work much better than cameras, so I can’t guarantee anything.

In the release note :

  • Theme changes without restarting now

How does it work ? Does it detect a change in the gtk.css file ?
I will stop to killall squeekboard  ?

I don’t actually know when exactly triggers a theme change, because the trigger is in GTK, but I suppose it’s when the global theme is selected.
