Status icons relating to kill-switches froze, terminal reboot command lagged, then reboot froze before shutdown with only one line of "^@"s across the top of the screen, after which I just removed the battery. Any known bugs that could have caused this?

Sadly i not a Guru yet to know whats going on in your device, however we are lucky to have one @guru here so may helping you. However i did a massive troubleshooting and researching yesterday on my L5 and i confident to tell you that the Librem 5 work really fancy even under Gnu Byzantium.
Also Gnu Librem 5 it is not for everyone, otherwise will got massive issues.

I.e. it’s English and not following el DRAE ( Diccionario de la lengua española de la Real Academia Española)
