Is there a plan or update coming for suspend that would honour audio playback? I listen to podcasts and its annoying to toggle suspend off and on all the time.

It’s the responsibility of the application you use to inhibit suspend while it plays audio.

I would guess that if the lock screen knows about the audio and contains pause and play functionality, that suspend will also be inhibited when playing.
I would think so too but for some reason Kasts doesn’t seem to interrupt the suspend function. Might need to experiment a bit more to be sure, but last time I tried it, it definitely went to sleep while playing a podcast.
