Trying to revive Librem 5

Hello,
I have a Librem 5 that was delivered in the Spring of 2023. About a year ago (June 2024), it stopped working: when I press the power button, the green LED turns on, the initial Librem 5 screen appears, followed by the password request; once I input the right password, I get the cryptsetup successful screen, but then the machine cycles, turning the screen off and on and never booting.
I finally have enough time to try to sort it out now. Yesterday I charged the battery up (seemed to work fine) but the behavior is still the same.
I am thinking of reflashing PureOS on the phone to see if it solves the problem (I do not care about losing the data on it). I have never done this before, and searching the forums I came upon the SD-card method suggested by @ASwyD2 in this recent post:

but a) I’m not sure where to get ‘the latest librem5r4 image’ (is this it? Download PureOS), and b) how to use Jenkins? Might I use one of the methods outlined here on an SD-card: Installation media - Purism user documentation ?
Or maybe I should try to repair the installation using Jumpdrive first (Repairing a broken installation - Purism user documentation)?
Any suggestions appreciated.

I had that happen, I believe you have to hold the down button for 20 seconds or something weird like that, power cycle it and it can restart like normal after that, it is in the forums somewhere.

On Jenkins (Image Build [Image Builds] [Jenkins]) select the build number that you want and download the .xz file. In your case, it would be either #20207 or #20204

Hi, I just tried this: unfortunately I am still getting the behavior described above…

Ok, so: downloaded the #20207 image build from Jenkins, burnt it onto the 256GB SD-card, replaced it in my powered-off phone, turned it on whilst pressing Vol Down, green LED lit and Librem 5 splash page displayed; then, was asked for password, gave the default ‘123456’, and the Encrypting Filesystem Please Wait screen appeared. The phone has now been on it for the past 10 minutes. How long should this take?
