UI glitches a software problem?

I’ve just installed Visual Studio Code, in which I thought I would start a new project. I wrote a couple lines of readme, but I get these weird glitches in the UI. Little green lines and dots scattered around the text. Does anybody know what’s going on here?

Trying chaging the anti-aliasing from Subpixel to Standard, in GNOME Tweak Tool > Fonts > Select the option for “standard (grayscale)” aliasing.
