Unable to Flash to LUKS Byzantium Image

The list of sequential steps:

  1. Use balenaEtcher to flash a PureOS Byzantium image onto a USB drive.
  2. Turn off your computer, insert the USB drive into an available USB port, then turn on your computer and select the USB drive to boot PureOS from it.
  3. Connect to an Internet access point using either Ethernet or Wi-Fi, open Terminal, then run the following command to fetch the latest package versions:
sudo apt update
  1. In the same Terminal window, copy, paste, and execute each command below, one line at a time.

The --stable argument/flag will default to the LUKS variant. As a reminder, the default passphrase is 123456.
