Unable to switch wifi

I’m being unable to switch wifi network. If I try I get disconnected from the old one but not connected to the new one. The applet on the right upper bar stops working and I can not open Settings app. If the app was previously opened, then the wifi disappears from there.
I saw this in /var/log/messages:

I’m using PureOS amber 9.0 and it’s up to date.
I also have problems after suspending, not sure if it may be related to this.
Any idea on how to fix it?
Thanks.

I’m seeing something similar here:
