Unfinished switch cap's?

That’s like driving a car without tires on the wheel’s. What speedy deadline could cause this to happen? It just seems so wierd to not slow down a bit to put a simple cap on a switch.
I understand what we’re dealing with being a totally new phone , but finish them then deliver them. I have waited almost 2 year’s and would not mind a longer wait to get a finished phone. “So just opt for a latter batch” Why is that even necessary?
This is turning out to be a “Twilight Zone” experience. Wierd but kinda cool. Definitely a first for me at least.

Why is it necessary to let them know what your preference is? So that you can get the experience closest to your individual preference and allow others to get the experience closest to their individual preference.

You would not mind waiting longer, others would not mind having something that is a work in progress if it means they can have it sooner.

This seems to be an effort to appease the most groups of people as is feasible.

Yeah, I agree it wasn’t the perfect way to handle it. I’m not sure if amateurish is the right word but something like that.
At the same time completely understand why they did it, right?
Finished caps could take what, another week maybe? Which means they wouldn’t make the Q3 shipping commitment

Probably longer than that. Group buys of keycaps regularly have months-long lead times, so I’d imagine a similar lead time on the switch covers for Purism (they’re both injection molded plastic, presumably). I’m sure they were ordered a while ago, but the delivery timeframe could still be almost 2 months from now.
