[VoLTE] What is the proper way to find out the IMS registration status with the provider?

Hi,

I’m trying to debug by VoLTE state with my provider, I had run the bm818-volte-check and it says that I have VoLTE status, when trying to make a call with only 4G it fails, I know that for VoLTE to work I need to have ims registrartion fullfilled with the operator.

I had failed to find the proper command for checking how I can find if ims is enabled with AT commands or bm818-tools.

I had looked at the https://www.waveshare.net/w/upload/6/68/SIM7500_SIM7600_Series_AT_Command_Manual_V2.00.pdf but had failed to find anything related to ims registrartion status.

my device did register with the EPS based on the output of mmcli and connected to data with 4G.

Thank anyone for any help

It may help to mention country and provider. Maybe someone is using the same provider and can give you a data point.

You should probably also confirm your modem firmware version i.e. that you have the latest.

Hi,

Good point about the firmware, regarding the operator checking the IMS settting registrartion should be operator agnostic, but I get what I mean what you say about people with the same operator thank you (but I would rather keep it private for now).

Firmware (I’m not sure which one is the aDSP , but the first one is via BMSWVER)

other info that might be important (via mmcli):

    carrier config: ROW_Generic_3GPP
    carrier config revision: 05010822
    h/w revision: 10000
    supported: gsm-umts, lte
    current: gsm-umts, lte
    ue mode of operation: csps-1

I had also tried the command at but calls under 4G only had failed, I had run the commands under minicom, and did a power cycle.

bm818-volte-check does return it’s on VoLTE…

Some extra info I’m using an MVNO.

Thank you !
