Volume changes in Firefox after update last week

Went to listen to my Spotify playlist via Firefox not via app, had no sound. Check the settings for sound, Firefox was there volume set to zero. Adjust sound. Finished that song, and silence, volume was set back to zero. Watched the next one, when a song finished, Firefox dropped from the list of apps using sound, and when it came back, it went back to zero.
Tried YouTube, similar but not quite the same, instead of volume going to zero, volume went to max after every new song. Tried playing with some Firefox settings, after changing the enhanced tracking protection, Spotify now shows the same behaviour as YouTube, setting volume to max.
Managing for now by turning the system volume way down.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have no idea about that behavior or what to do with it but for additional sound settings, you could install pavucontrol (sudo apt install pavucontrol and launch from terminal with pavucontrol) just in case it has something that helps.

A random thing to try would be to remove the config and do a re-installation to re-set them, just in case that has something to do with it (although that issue and solution may not have anything to do with this). Like this: Byzantium backports unofficial - #334 by JR-Fi
