Vulnerabilities Most Linux Systems Exposed to Complete Compromise via Shim Vulnerability

Is Purism exposed to this risk?

Secure Boot is not used, therefore Shim is not used either.

@jonathon.hall, another opportunity for a blog article.

Thank you for the link, I have passed it on to the “All Around Qubes” category in the Qubes OS Forum. (trust level 2 and up)

As Frankly says, this shouldn’t be an issue for anyone running Purism hardware. (It also only affects computers running distros that can operate under Secure Boot e.g. Debian, Ubuntu.) It also shouldn’t be an issue for anyone with an ARM CPU.

As such, “most Linux systems” might be an exaggeration in this forum.
