Warranty Policy?

I’ve never had a single machine I didn’t break (don’t ask how), this is partially the reason I need to update.
It is extremely difficult to find a good repair shop that fixes Linux devices, most times them ship it back with Windows. What does Purism’s warranty cover? I’m thinking about getting the 3-year warranty.

TL;DR What does Purism’s warranty cover?

Note: I could not find the warranty policy.

The policies page can be found here.

https://puri.sm/policies/

It’s linked from the FAQ page. I don’t know if it is linked from anywhere else.

Warranty does not apply: […] (d) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, liquid contact, earthquake, war, meteor strike or other external cause;

This seems to sum up the whole reason I would get an extended warranty.
Is there a separate policy for the 3yr warranty?

I don’t know sorry. I would assume it would be the same policy. I would email them if you have any questions though.

You’d honestly expect a business to replace an item that was damaged by an earthquake, war, or meteor strike? I can understand people expecting (wrongly) a warranty against damage from misuse / abuse / accident, but a war? Or a meteor?

Generally speaking, meteors are rare.

I’m in the US, so few war zones. Most warranties don’t support stolen or lost repairs either.

I can’t be the only one trying to figure this out. Perhaps @mladen can comment?
