Weird flickering of modem cards

Whenever I am using Firefox, Calls, or some other app that uses data and warms my phone up, the cellular modem icon will get a diagonal line through it and loses connection; the Wifi icon will do the same - same result; the bluetooth continues working; the Microphone and Camera icons disappear as well but these still work, unlike the modems cards. Also Clapper will lose whatever it is playing. It is really annoying when I’m on a call!
The software switches do not work, power cycling the kill switches sometimes work, sometimes not.
Any thoughts?

This kernel should fix the issue you’re experiencing: arm64: dts: imx8mq-librem5: Re-enable pull-ups and disable LVTTL on HSW_*_STATE pins and reduce 4G_PWR_EN, WIFI3V3_EN, CAMERA_PWR_EN_3V3, and AUDIO_POWER_EN_3V3 drive strength to 255-Ohms (!790) · Merge requests · Librem5 / linux · GitLab

Note that this MR is based on Crimson’s branch and will make vibra feedback very weak when used on Byzantium.

My Librem 5s thus far generally didn’t have this same issue. Should I be worried that I’m going to start having this issue soon unless I move to Crimson?

No. This is a unit specific thing (resistor tolerance). What’s currently in the stock kernels is what works well with the majority of devices, but some minority will have these issues. The patch I linked to swaps it around - it makes things worse for most devices, but better for others. It should be possible to make it better for all devices, but this requires more changes in the kernel that haven’t been done yet.

So I do not not know how to install that MR. I have never been successful getting anything from a git site unless it was a .deb.
Could I git* some help?

(Pun intended)
