White Blank Screen shows Librem 13 display flickering and banding issue

Hi everyone,

White blank screen revealed an issue with my Librem 13’s display, showing occasional flickering and horizontal banding that is not likely related to the backlight.
Sometimes, by using the blank screen distortion becomes more noticeable, especially during certain tasks. I have been observing these issues closely, and the flickering seems intermittent.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems with their Librem 13? Could this be fixed through a software update, or is it likely a hardware defect that needs attention?

I don’t know about flickering, but banding I have noticed in my past is leading to display failure (along the band).

I presume it is warranty time.

If you can live with it, I think you may be able to get a cheap used external display for 99 bucks at a Goodwill store. Presuming you similar stores in your location, (used clothing, furniture, sometimes electronics, books, toys, and such.)
