White screen after attempt at updating OS

Hi, I just tried to update the OS, it hasn’t been updated in months. I had the laptop in storage.

I didn’t plug in the laptop when updating and when it asked me if I wanted to restart to install the update, I hit yes. Then right before it rebooted and I input the password, it turned off.

Now, when I plugged it in and logged in, it has a white background only. Even my login icon is gone.

What can I do to fix this?

I wonder if it would take less time to reinstall than to find a particular solution.

Since I’m a newbie to linux, the tech help, which are great asked me to remove the “brave browser repository”

Can anybody help me remove the “brave browser repository”? lol.
