Hey Guys,
I recently installed Linux OS on my Librem 14, and after installation, I’m stuck with a blank white screen when booting up. The installation process seems fine, but the system fails to boot properly afterward.
Has anyone else faced this issue or know how to resolve it?
Was PureOS previously installed on the laptop (e.g. when it arrived from Purism) and was it working at all?
What boot firmware? Pureboot?
What specific distro are you attempting to install?

@irvinewade,
Yes, PureOS was pre-installed and worked when the laptop arrived from Purism. The boot firmware is Pureboot. I’m trying to install Ubuntu.
Try reinstalling Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, but ensure that the two hardware kill switches are not affecting the installation process and that the NVMe drive’s capacity you are installing it on is 2 TB or under for MBR compatibility.
I know obviously that Ubuntu is not a Purism-supported or -recommended distro but @jonathon.hall I am wondering whether it is expected that it would not work, or alternatively whether it has been known to work, or alternatively has never been tried.
Ubuntu works fine on the Librem 14. I briefly used Ubuntu Studio for music production, but it was a buggy and unstable experience. Eventually I went back to using PureOS on a USB drive.
