Why mention Intel ME w/amd64 architecture

I’m a bit confused after only finding an amd64.hybrid.iso for download. What is an hybrid.iso?
or
There is a page on puri.sm talking about Intel ME. Is not that pertinent to Intel inside machines only?
Will pureOS run on an Intel64 machine (Dell pre-loaded with Ubuntu), and where is the appropriate .iso file for that?

The 64bit version of the X86 CPU instruction set is called AMD64 because AMD is the one that defined and published it back in 2000. Intel, among others, have implemented this instruction set. You can find the whole story on Wikipedia.

In short: the amd64 iso file is the right one. It will work on both Intel and AMD 64-bit CPU’s
