ls -l /sys/class/bluetooth

Might be good to test it in a Live Boot of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS too.

/etc/bluetooth$ ls -l /sys/class/bluetooth

I’ll try the live usb later the day
Thank you

OK, that would appear to explain why the bluetooth service is not running but obviously only leads to the next question … Anyway,

What Bluetooth card do you have? Does it require firmware? If so, is the firmware file present? Being loaded?

Have you recently upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS? If so, did Bluetooth stop working coinciding with that upgrade?

FWIW, I have a computer that is running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and which has Bluetooth hardware and
/sys/class/bluetooth is non-empty and the bluetooth service is running however

  • that isn’t a Librem 13,
  • it almost certainly has different Bluetooth hardware as compared with your laptop, and
  • I don’t routinely use Bluetooth on that computer so I don’t know off the top of my head whether Bluetooth is actually working on that computer.

All of yesterday’s switching device off and on(numerous times)didn’t work.

This morning after proof of concept with Debian live usb - Bluetooth worked fine - Re booted to the Ubuntu and it suddenly worked again.
Strange.
Thank you
