I found out that pure OS has a lot of bugs in the software. In desperation, I had a friend of mine; installed postmarketOS and I have been happy ever since.The only thing is to install postmarketOS is not for the average individual to do the install. Difficult measurement is: very difficult. It is too bad that the company Purism, could give us a better choice upon buying L5 and fill out a sheet paper with users names and the two passwords and send it in to the company. This is for better choices for the encryption software. This would boost the company image and promotion and profits. Those of you out there would like a contact for a installer. I can give some information here to have the same privilege as I have.

Sorry about that : I just want to make sure there was a great interest. The fellow I am talking about is a real software engineer. It will help write down on a 8 by 11 sheet paper user one: and user two: then encryption password and root password. Just like when installing Ubuntu. Later today, I am going to call him via telephone to get his address to send your L5 phone. Again I want to apologist for the Delay. Oh yes, one more thing. Sorry, I can not do what you ask. This install is more than plugging it in and start. There are a number of steps must be met and done. I had a software engineer installed the post market edge OS on my L5. Oh Yes, Those of you once you get the Software installed. In order to work with the dock station, You have to drop down the icon on top of the screen (where the power button is) and you will see profile and landscape selection. Put it in Landscape and the dock station will function. Contact me Via search web browser w7eet-97137. you will see my box address. I will return a letter where to contact the correct person that will do the install.

This sounds like a scam to steal a phone. Definitely not what anyone should do. This is not how things should be done. If this is legit, write clear instructions or make a video, as was suggested. There are already several even here on this forum and more linked elsewhere to use as an example.

Jr-fi: I am not a scammer and this is for real. This is your choice that is fine. All I am trying to do is help out because I was in the boat having a phone that was useless. Now, I have a phone that works and it is very useful and I am very happy. Like I had mentioned, This is your opinion, and you can not make everyone happy. It is just like a horse, you can lead them to water buy you can not make them drink. w7eet-97137. put this in the search and you will see my name address and I can not hide from this…I am really exposing myself to help others.

I had talked to the software engineer. He is going to write a procedure and as soon as I can get my hands on the document I can paste it here. Also, want to mention, The software engineer and I myself has a security clearance or I use to have a top secret clearance with gov. I know some of you folks were doubt makers. So, standby it is coming for all of you can see why I could not do this procedure. Even tho I am a electronic tech retired.

You haven’t provided a single reason that the not yet written document should be preferred over a wiki page developed by a team of users over more than 5 years or a single criticism of that page or why someone should mail their Librem 5 to you. You implly your method is too complicated for DIY, but the wiki page has instructions for DIY.

I did not give anyone instruction of this nature. I said, use my mailing address by looking it up and I will refer anyone to a software engineer…Because I care and wanted to help those that need the help. You better straighten up your act together and stop slandering me. you do not get it. I am trying to help your company and not destroy it. The L 5 is a beautiful phone but purism is making mistakes and destroying their own company. How to stop this from happening.

  1. get a real contact telephone for your customers so you can resolve problems.
    2.Look into installing this software as a option on your own product phone. I do believe it is one of the best software around and it performs very well with the L-5
  2. Ask yourself this question Why and since I have a L-5 went to great lengths to reach out to purism (because I care and trying to help you to leap into better company) How to stop this- install postmarketOS your selves and try it and offer it as a option if it is a another choice other than the only one you offer. you will thank me later…
