will you folks take xmr as a payment, and do you have any countries you cannot ship to?
You’d get a much faster response if you emailed support.
Purism does accept XMR: https://puri.sm/faq/#faq-Whatformsofpaymentdoyouaccept
Cryptocurrencies (via GloBee, supported: BTC, LTC, XMR, ETH, XRP, DOGE, DCR)
For subscriptions , like Librem One or AweSIM , the only option available is Credit Card (via Stripe).
If you need any assistance or alternative options for payment, email payments(at)puri.sm for assistance.
They ship to most countries except for “that are subject of trade sanctions imposed by USA”: https://puri.sm/faq/#faq-Doyoushipworldwide
We ship world wide, except to countries that are subject of trade sanctions imposed by USA.
International shipments may be subject to customs processing and additional charges. Purism is not responsible in any way to cover such costs. The customer is responsible for customs clearing/duties, and local taxation.
Customs policies vary from country to country, therefore you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays in arrival.
The fact they allow payment from XMR is one of the reasons I 110% support this company. XMR is the standard of tried and true private web payments and has actual utility. I can’t think of another single grassroots project that private BY DEFAULT. Yeah others have private send, but not BY DEFAULT. You can also run a full Monero Node on a Librem 5 if you buy a 256GB+ microsd card and download the Linux arm64 variant of Monero CLI from their website. The blockchain runs aroun 88GB in size so I say 256GB to be generous.
