Mic hardware switch is set to be on.
When I make or answer a phone call using Gajim, the call completes, and I can hear the other party, but the other party cannot hear me.
How do I diagnose what the problem is?

Is that specific to Gajim? If you use Calls or Sound Recorder, does the microphone work then?
It appears to be specific to Gajim. Using the Calls or Sound Recorder I do not have this problem.
Does that application allow configuring of the sound input source and sound output sink?
Does that application have any kind of debug / logging?
Not that I can figure out.
