The specs of the Bluetooth chip state that Bluetooth LE is supported. Yet when I try to pair a BLE device with Librem 5, it simply does not appear in a scan. I tried the GUI in PureOS and bluetoothctl with scan enabled.
The device itself is working correctly, I’m able to see it in my Android phone bluetooth settings.

Is BLE supported by Librem 5?

This doesn’t say anything about BLE, though. Low Energy existed in Bluetooth 4.0, right?

It is disabled by default due to a firmware bug. But you can enable it manually, see: Bluetooth not found but service runs no default controller
