CMOS battery for Librem 14 v1

I’m thinking that I’m up for a new battery in my L14. I did find one post with an outdated link to Amazon (CMOS battery connector type L14v1).
Mine has the long lead from the battery to the connector on the motherboard which appears to be different to the one pictured in the post.

I can contact Purism support I know, but their track record replying to me has been less than stellar, hence my posting here in the hope someone can help.

Sure but what is the question/sticking point now that you have the battery?

I don’t have the battery. The link that I provide is a dead link. I was hoping that someone may be able to steer me to a place to buy the correct battery. Even using the Rome-Tech part no which is pictured in that post doesn’t help.

I just took a chance and picked out the longest prewired one I could find where the plug polarity was correct (e.g. matched the color orientation of what franklyflawless shared in that post with the black wire on the top). It may be critical you have the correct polarity or things could go badly.

Possibly this one it is very long but be careful it matches the polarity colors when you install it. Amazon.com: Rome Tech CMOS BIOS Battery for Dell Latitude Rugged only: 5404, 5414, 5420, 5424 - Laptop Backup 3V RTC CR2032 Battery with 2 Wire Cable : Electronics

Thanks for that, but Amazon don’t have any. But I did manage to track it to here: ✩ Replacement CMOS Battery - 22REGPN2032L – Rome Tech which appears to be the same one, so I ordered one.

For what its worth I emailed Purism support and got the message that they have a backlog of things which is code for them not replying.
