Display scaling bug(s) after upgrading to Crimson

@dos

Here’s a few screenshots demonstrating the behavior.

1st two are Gnome dialogues showing clipping at the right side when phone boots to default 200% scaling. 3rd is corrected scaling set to 175% (even though bug shows it at 100%).

What version of g-c-c do you have installed?? dpkg -l gnome-control-center - it should be 1:43.6-2~deb12u1pureos2.

This is how it looks like in crimson with 200% scaling:

ii gnome-control-center 1:43.6-2~deb12u1pureos2 arm64

Why does the badly scaling image say “Landscape” in display settings? A bit odd. Is the rotation lock on?

Good question, that’s another bug where the rotation lock option disappears and is replaced by portrait/landscape buttons.

Reacting to you turning the orientation sensor off by engaging all kill switches is not a bug.

I can’t reproduce the issue with g-c-c not fitting the screen on any of my devices here.

Please report the output of cat /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* and apt-forktracer.

Ah! Did not occur to me that was the cause.

Pinging you to see if you’ve had a chance to review the requested output, in case you missed my response over the holidays.

@dos here’s pics of the 200% mag. bugs displayed in Settings and Epiphany:

after rotating the phone back and forth, Epiphany correctly scales itself.

I’m aware of the “Displays” tab in Settings not fitting the screen sometimes, but Epiphany should have been fixed a while ago in 43.1-1pureos2 and I’m not seeing any window width issues with it anymore during my daily use.

BTW. Usually with these intermittent window sizing issues toggling the OSK is enough to have it relayout itself.
