Kept back packages

Current Byzantium: the PureOS store says can’t upgrade missing dependencies.
Terminal updates and upgrades but it says

[purism@pureos ~]$ sudo apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree… Done
Reading state information… Done
Calculating upgrade… Done
The following packages have been kept back:
librem5-base librem5-gnome-base librem5-non-gnome linux-image-librem5
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded.
[purism@pureos ~]$

Have a look at these previous threads about the “kept back” issue and see if any of that helps:

Yes I saw them, but I decided to write it because in the previous post there was a bug that was corrected in the repos.

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade

This indeed solves the issue. I also noticed that Megapixels is removed and now we have millipixels. What are the differences? Kernel has been updated to 5.15 (from 5.13). Are there any userspace news about this?

I too have the same situation, I solved with:

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade

but now I no longer have Megapixels and in its place “Camera (Dev Previe …” that doesn’t work, tells me that the “Selected camera is not available. Is it turned on?”

Does it work for you?

No idea. I just copied the above command in from one of the other topics talking about the “packages have been kept back” issue. I’m still on amber.

now “Camera” works again. I think rebooting was the solution after upgrade.

Yes the camera works (as it was working before, I do not see new features).

Yes, Millipixels needs the new kernel to work (and old Megapixels won’t work there).
