Librem 14 took a fall, power supply connector bent

My Librem14 took a fall and the power supply jack (that goes into the laptop) bent and I can’t insert it. I need a replacement, is anyone able to give me a link to a suitable replacement product? I notice that the barrel size is different from my older Librem15

Thank you.

You will need to contact Purism directly as spare parts are often not listed explicitly in the shop. But is this the thing you want? Power Adapter (for Librem 14) – Purism

If I understand your scenario correctly, a workaround may be to charge via USB-C. If you don’t already have a suitable USB-C charger, you can buy one in the Purism shop or source one locally.

Thanks for the tip on USB-C power.

I would also add to @irvinewade comment above, that if the power supply jack (external) is badly bent due to the fall, it is very likely that the internal (MBD soldered) connector has suffered or at worse has detached or broken loose from the motherboard.
In this case, buying a new power adapter would not solve your problem. You might want to first remove the bottom case and inspect what internal damage there is, before ordering a new power adapter.
It is to be noted that ordering and soldering the MBD connector has proven to be very difficult - if not outright impossible…

Also FYI that I tried packing extremely light on vacation one time and brought only my Librem 5 charger as the solution to use fir for both the Librem 5 and the Librem 14, based on this rumor that you can charge via USB-C.

Not all USB-C chargers are made equal. For a laptop you want a more powerful one.

Certainly true.

However this other product in the Purism shop: Power Adapter Type-C 65W – Purism claims to be “Compatible with Librem 5, Librem 11, and Librem 14” so that product presumably would have done the trick for you. (On the other hand, even then you could get yourself in a bind where you want to charge / run on mains both devices at the same time, and packing light with only one USB-C power supply won’t cut it.)
