Librem 14 won't recognize power adapter

I have a Librem 14 only about 1 week old. For the first week it was working fine but today it stopped recognizing the power adapter and the battery won’t charge. I also tried plugging it in with a USB-C cable to an external Mophie battery pack, using the right USB-C port, but that doesn’t charge the battery either. Any other ideas for troubleshooting? I have tried unplugging, using a different outlet, etc. Blue light is on on the power adapter where it connects to the cable going to the outlet.

Do you have enough power to run PureOS? If so, what do you see when you run these commands in a terminal?
upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/line_power_AC
upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0

I would contact the seller for warranty support but …

Are you sure this is a Librem 15?

As far as I know, neither the Librem 15 nor the Librem 13 supports charging via USB-C. The USB-C is data only (but can of course supply power in the other direction i.e. to the USB device, to the limits of vanilla USB 3.0). So it may not be a great idea to try to shove power into the laptop.

This answer would be different if the laptop is in fact a Librem 14.

Please clarify.

There are two USB-C ports.

One USB-C port is a full function port, supporting power in (Power Delivery) for charging and DisplayPort altmode for video out and of course data out.

One USB-C port is a vanilla port, supporting only data out.

Both ports of course support some power out to a USB peripheral.

So, yes, you do have to use the correct USB-C port for charging and, sorry, I don’t know which is which.

Again though, 1 week old Librem 14, I would contact the seller for warranty support. support@puri.sm

When charging from the AC adapter, you should see online: yes like this:

$ upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/line_power_AC
  native-path: AC
  power supply: yes

There is a whole thread about this. Unfortunately, it looks like you’ve joined the club.
