Loose thing inside my phone

I took apart my Librem 5 and there was a loose thing rolling around inside.

What is this and where is its appropriate location?

Others have had the same problem. Seek and ye shall find.

Basically it comes loose as part of taking the Librem 5 apart and then typically the customer doesn’t know where it came from.

Edit: Adding e.g. Disassembled my Librem 5 and this fell out and another link from there.

There are three golden pins. I suspect it is the one near the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module:

It is possible to remove the antenna connectors using just the fingernails, like I did when I replaced my Redpine module with the SparkLAN module, but it requires great finesse and patience. The antenna connectors themselves can also last past 10 removals, as I learned when disassembling the Librem 5 multiple times. I had more trouble keeping those three golden pins in place when putting everything back together.

The one near the wifi board is the only one I’ve had fall out when taking my phone apart. It is a little tricky to put back, but not too hard.

Nah I put it in a ziploc bag and left it off to the side, and put the phone back together because I was busy. So I appreciate the image! I need to open it up and put that back in.
