We are starting to see what a handheld device can be when it serves the purposes of its owner. The Librem 5 can accomplish so many features undreamed of in the bleak, locked-down hell of android and iOS.

What’s really special about this preview is that my partner really dislikes how difficult it is to use her iPhone with Elementary OS. And really, prior to that, Windows. That’s because she dislikes the idea that she has to use special interfaces to interact with her phone.

These changes indicate that should she get a L5, she will be working with a more intuitive interface. That’s special.

Great great things shown here !

But I have to ask : Do we/will we have an available “How-to” documentation to explain how to go from amber to an encrypted byzantium installation ?

This is a sneak peek but when the time comes that we feel it’s ready for general use we’ll of course publish a video/article that talks about how to upgrade.

Yes, it makes sense to arrive at the implementation that you want before adding an upgrade path to it.
