I stopped really expecting it years ago, although it’s nice to daydream. Closest could be getting some kind of “re-launch” of L5 in a few months with a 5G modem, PureOS Crimson and maybe the same motherboard used in the Liberty version (1GB more memory than Evergreen). Or just build that yourself. [And that by itself would be awesome]
Hard to see Purism having enough resources to pull off developing a totally new phone hardware. Looking at the Liberuxx campaign, I don’t think market/users are ready and trusting enough to welcome a new model without more concrete examples of steps towards being a dependable developer (at least in the price range linux phones are as they’re without spyware-subsidies).
