Do you think open source is far inferior to free software and that is why you don’t like Librem anymore?
I think in order to compete in an evil marketplace you have to produce a functional device for that marketplace, it may not be possible to be 100% clean in a septic tank of a marketplace.
I guess if we are putting our wish list for the next release of librem phone the smaller our demands the cleaner they can keep their software.
I would definitely like more RAM and a phone that puts out less heat and comes stock with the ability to send mms. Also I thought the idea that was put forward of having a non-standard data transfer and charging cable was good, making it difficult for theives and whatnot to even connect to purisms’ devices. Not sure how practical that is.
I’ll pay for a marginally improved product if they keep it as spy free as is currently possible. I also would ignore the specs as long as the device functions in the current software market, if free software is better then I prefer that to better hardware that spys.
