Phone Case for Librem 5! Who could make a great case?

Both the birch and chestnut came per-installed with a screenprotector.

I made a mistake and removed the tab on the outside of the screenprotector, thinking, look a free screenprotector. Which left the outside a bit messed up.

After weeks of using the phone like this. I really wanted to get a clean shot and removed the damaged screenprotector. To my supersize, I found a clean beautiful screen protector underneath.
So, at the end of the day, read the blue tab that says remove and remove it.

I just thought of this thread and realized this video hasn’t been posted. Injection molded cases can be done at home (the mold is potentially expensive though):

Does this mean that Purism will be selling cases? If so, that’s when I’ll order a Librem 5. I’m not spending $800 on a device without a sturdy case.

I really don’t think so, at least not in the short term. The best option is probably to get one custom made at a 3D print shop, of which there are many online if you don’t have one locally. I think I made suggestions above or in this thread, which also has some fabrication ideas by other users.

Surely you can but an L5 in one of those Jäegermonsters. Maybe even let it take over. What could go wrong…?

A tad more seriously though, that adaptive case looks like a personification, with arms and legs. So why not having L5 as the brains and add a robotic case? It doesn’t have to humanoid - more like, maybe a quad copter capability on the case to move and one appendix..?

A personal helper “satellite”? Or… get a swarm of them? (What could go wrong?)

For those that need quick and robust storage/protection pouch for their Librem 5, I found one on Aliexpress that is almost as perfect as it can actually be (Style3 in size: 17.5×10.5×4.5cm).
