Librem 13 screen flickering

I just unboxed by Librem 13 that arrived a few weeks ago, and there appears to be something wrong with the display. Every now and then the screen flickers (not the whole screen, so it’s probably not the backlight), and sometimes there is horizontal banding and distortion as well. Have you heard of reports of similar problems, and is it possibly fixable by an update, or do I have faulty hardware on my laptop?

Hi all, my laptop LCD panel seems defective. The image “flickering” every now and then (say every 5/10 minutes), i.e. the image intermittently breaks on horizontal lines. I’ve filmed the issue here: https://youtu.be/TqdGEs0wQWU , The camera did not capture all the details I could see with my naked eye but it should be more evident at seconds 5 and 12. Has anyone had this issue with their monitor and/or has any clue about how to fix it?

Librem 13 screen flicker

Hi all! I have a librem 13 that is experiencing screen flicker… I’m using arch Linux and have tried updating to the latest Intel driver version as well as using the Vesa driver but both don’t seem to fix the issue. On a previous thread someone said it might be a loose connector and to open up the comp and take a look. Opening up the comp is a breeze, but how do I know what I’m looking for can anyone point me to the lcd connector? [15067971466152068409558]

Microphone does not work + screen flickering

Hi, My microphone is dead does not matter where the killswtch is and my display flickers (also testet on other distros. When you want me to test in on a spcific distro tell) Since this will probably end as warrenty: I would like to have a replacement for the time. Is it possible to negotiate a deal here?

Brand New Librem 13v2 - Screen Flicker and Crashes - Please Help

Librem 13v2 screen flicker - horizontal lines

My Librem 13v2 was delivered in late December 2017. The screen has always has always flickered. Every second or two a thin horizontal line flashes on the screen. The position is not constant, could be in the middle, could be in the upper half, near the bottom of the screen, etc. No distortion, just a momentary thin horizontal line. I bought a Librem 13v2 about a year ago, and pretty much from the beginning the screen has flickered from time to time. Sometime it starts right after I typed the password to unencrypt the disk at boot. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes from when I have logged in. Has anyone found a solution to screen flickering on the Librem13? I have applied the enable_psr=0 workaround that was suggested in an old thread and confirmed with systool. $ sudo systool -m i915 -av | grep psr enable_psr = “0” The other suggested workaround, enable_rc6=0, has no effect because enable_rc6 was disabled since kernel 4.16; I am running 4.18.0-2.
